Programs
From a child's first touch on a Saturday morning to the final whistle of a college-recruitment season — every Lake Norman Soccer program connects into the same development ladder. The right starting point depends only on your child's age.
The Pathway
Parents often arrive at a club asking which program is right for their child. The honest answer at Lake Norman Soccer is that there is no wrong door — only the next rung on a continuous ladder. A four-year-old joins the Youth Academy and learns the shape of the game. By U10, they may be ready for Competitive tryouts. By U15, the Travel program introduces regional play, recruiting film, and a college-pathway conversation that runs alongside the soccer.
Futsal and goalkeeper-specific work are not side programs — they run alongside outdoor seasons at every age, sharpening the technical and positional skills that make the difference in a close match. The ladder your child climbs at six stays the same ladder at sixteen.

What a Season Looks Like
Before you register, here is the rhythm of a typical week inside each tier — so you can schedule it against carpool, school, and other commitments without surprises.
Tier 01 · Youth Academy
Youth Academy runs a single 60-minute training session each week and plays games Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 at fields across Mooresville, Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville. There is no travel — every game is within the Lake Norman region — and parent volunteers coach and manage the teams alongside a paid age-group coordinator.
Tier 02 · Competitive
Competitive teams train twice a week in the early evening and play a Saturday game with one mid-week match against a regional opponent — typically a 30 to 45 minute drive from Mooresville. Each fall and spring season includes one in-region tournament weekend, and the spring team typically plays two.
Tier 03 · Travel
Travel is a year-round commitment — fall, winter (futsal), spring, and a summer showcase season. Trainings run three times a week, games include regional league plus two to four showcase or college-id weekends per year, and every U15–U17 player has a Hudl and SportsRecruits film profile maintained by club staff. The college pathway is not a separate program — it is built into the Travel season.
