Ross Englert, Branch Director

Ross Englert currently has a USSF D License after becoming a part of Lake Norman Soccer Club in 2012. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Ross moved to North Carolina in 2000 where he grew up and played soccer in the Charlotte area. With a player background from Charlotte Soccer Club and Matthews United Futbol Club (present day CSA), he also played for 4A Porter Ridge High School where he claimed honors in All-Conference as well as being an All-Region selection in 2010. Ross later went on to UNC Charlotte where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Marketing.

During his time at UNC Charlotte, Ross began coaching at Charlotte United Futbol Club as a volunteer with the older boys program. He then went on to coach at East Lincoln High School and joined Lake Norman Soccer Club in 2012 as a Director of Coaching in Lincoln County. After two years with our Lincoln County program, Ross become the Director of our University branch. In 2016, Lake Norman Soccer Club went on to combine their two largest branches, LNSC Huntersville and LNSC University and founded their latest branch, LNSC South in which Ross is currently the Director and founder of. Away from LNSC, Ross works with the NC ODP staff. 

Adam Tipper, Director of Coaching At Large

Adam comes to LNSC from Birmingham England. He holds his FA (England) Badge Level 1 & 2, FA Level 1 & 2 Goalkeeping Certification, and completion of the A1 Assessors Licence. Adam played for Sutton Coldfield College while obtaining his licenses. Upon completion of College, Adam went to The University of Derby and earned a degree in Sports Coaching. Alongside this, he coached for Derby County FC. On completion of his studies, he became a scout for Wolverhampton Wanderers FC and was manager of the Community Fusion Program, which became a development center for the Wolves developmental program, in addition to setting up his own goalkeeping school. Adam brings former professional playing experience from Buxton F.C, Sutton United F.C and Saltley Stallions F.C.

Prior to joing LNSC Adam was most recently at Impact FC in Statesville, NC where he coached various teams at all age groups. His most recent success was winning the 2015 USYS Presidents State Cup with his U16 girls team and having the team represent North Carolina in Texas at regionals.  He has previously worked in the United States assessing and mentoring coaches in New Jersey for Premier Skill. Adam also served as a West Ham United FC International Scout & Coach where his role was to obversve players to potentially send back to the UK for trials.

Kyle Neal began coaching at the age of 18 as a volunteer at South Rowan YMCA. Kyle then began coaching for OCSL Soccer in 2006. In 2008, he received his certificate as a  USSF Referee and was also hired as an assistant coach at South Rowan High School for one year before moving on to become an assistant at Jesse C Carson High School for 6 years. At Jesse C Carson High, he won back to back Conference titles with the boys program. Currently, Kyle is the Assistant Director of Coaching for OCSL and Men’s Head Coach at South Rowan High School. For the upcoming season, Kyle will be working on getting his USSF E and D coaching certifications while coaching the 00 Venom and 98 Venom at LNSC University. 

Stephen Sweeney, Staff Coach

Stephen comes to LNSC from Cheshire, England. He holds both the FA level I and II Licenses, the FA Youth License, and has gained his USSF E license.

Stephen played for Priestley College Centre of Excellence before attending Edge Hill University in Liverpool, England. There, Stephen earned his degree in Sports Coaching and Participation Development as well as being a member of the University 1st team. Alongside gaining his degree, Stephen coached for Manchester City's Academy system and their City in the Community program. On completion of his studies, Stephen moved to the US in 2012 where he became the Academy director for Old Dominion Football Club in Northern Virginia and spent four years with ODFC. 
Prior to joining LNSC Stephen was most recently at NCUSA in Lexington, NC where he coached various teams at all age groups.

Todd Tinsley currently holds a USSF D License and is in his first year at Lake Norman Soccer Club, coaching the U18/19 Venom.   Raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Todd was head coach at Wolfson High School, as well as coaching multiple teams for the Jacksonville Jags and Jacksonville Youth Soccer Clubs.  Todd served on the FHSAA state advisory board for soccer for three years.  His high school team reached the regional finals multiple times and the state finals once.  In club, his JYSC team won the Regional Cup in Florida 3 years in a row.  

Todd and his family moved to Concord in 2013 to teach in the International Baccalaureate Program at Concord High School.  There he teaches IB Literature and coaches men’s soccer.  He is in his third year at Concord, where his Spiders advanced to the final 16 teams in the state tournament.  Todd and his wife travel abroad each summer with students from Concord High and surrounding schools.   Todd Tinsley has 22 years of high school and club experience, and is excited to work for the athletes at Lake Norman Soccer Club.

Greg Wright, Staff Coach

Greg holds his USSF D License and joins Lake Norman Soccer Club after 8 years of being an Assistant Coach at LNSC Central alongside full time staff members with the '97, '98, and '02 Eclipse. Coach Wright has watched two of kids go through the full spectrum of LNSC soccer programming, placing one of them at the Divsion I level with USC Upstate. He has also been involved in nearly every volunteer aspect of the club through his long tenure with his children. Greg works for Lowes Corporate as a Technical Delivery Manager, but through the last 12 years has remained connected to soccer as an Assitant Coach.
