Pinky Swear Foundation Kids Triathlon

Date Posted: 4/15/2019

LNSC is proud to announce our continued partnership with Pinky Swear. This year we are inviting you all to The 5th Annual Pinky Swear Foundation Kids Triathlon on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Ingersoll Rand Corporate Campus in Davidson, North Carolina. LNSC is partnering with Pinky Swear for this event, which gives the us the opportunity to give back to the community and create a lot of team spirit so please join us for a day of music, food, swimming, biking and running in honor of kids with cancer and their families.

The Pinky Swear Foundation is committed to helping children with cancer and their families by supporting them with financial assistance for basic needs and through experiences that create emotional support. The foundation was founded in honor of 9-year old, Mitch Chepokas who lost his battle to bone cancer in 2003, but still generously wanted to help other kids and families. The foundation of the Pinky Swear was built on this idea - “kids helping kids.”

Some of you will remember Pinky Swear All Stars Kingston and Devin who joined us for Academy nights a few years ago. Here are the links to their stories.  Sadly Devin is currently in the hospital following a relapse so please keep him and his family in your thoughts. All kids get to swim, bike and run in honor of an All Star child fighting cancer and we ask that the LNSC community come together in honor of these two brave little boys.

Here is the link to last year’s video, as you can see this event is for everyone, you do not need to be a great swimmer or cyclist but just be happy to join in the fun with your team!

Also coming back this year - The 5 and Under Fun Run! Everyone can participate even your younger siblings.

For kids 14 and up who would rather volunteer than participate then this event requires around 140 volunteers so please think about registering for a volunteer spot.
